Home of the powerful Federici family, the Gorzone castle, placed on a sheer spur over the Dezzo creek in the ending part of Val di Scalve, was probably built in 1150 following the scheme of the medieval fortress. In the course of the 15th century the Federici family remodeled it for residential use, making a courtly home of it: the outside still preserves the stern character of the original plan with a face decorated with portals in Simona stone and the remains of an ancient tower; the inside instead is enriched with balconies, two courtyards with a well and numerous rooms among which the broad delegation hall. Outside, the castle is encircled by a wonderful park.
