The St. Salvatore Monastery, another praiseworthy Romanesque edifice built between the 11th and the 12th century, rises instead at the foot of a mountain, in a place charmingly hidden among trees and considered sacred from time immemorial. The inside with three naves, with transept and pendentive dome, ends with three apses. The very rich decorations suggest motifs from a certain French matrix, which can be identified in particular in the sculptures of the portal and in the decorations of the inner capitals, engraved with predators, hippogryphs, sirens and vegetable racemes
